Randoms-Who Tends to Cheat More, & Wine Floats

This is disturbing … A study published in journal Science Advances has revealed that when it comes to online dating, women peak at age 18, while men peak at 50. No joke. The researchers found that in the online dating world, men’s desirability increased with age – peaking at 50 – while women were the highest at age 18 and then decreased from there. Sigh. (NY Times

Is your phone killing your love life? A new study found that 75 percent of Americans who live with their spouse or partner bring their phone to bed with them. And those people bringing their phones to bed at night are twice as likely to spend time on their phones than they are to get romantic with their significant other. In fact, being on their phones was the number one activity for couples during the last hour before bedtime. And this is sad … 25 percent of those surveyed said the very last thing they see before closing their eyes at night is their phone – not their significant other. More results:

  • Couples spend an average of three nights a week watching separate screens while in bed.
  • 55 percent of couples say they feel they’re missing out on quality time with their partner because of phone use.
  • 35 percent say their sex life has been affected because of their or their spouse’s bedtime phone use.
  • 33 percent have discussed the need to reduce phone use in the bedroom to stay better connected.
  • 93 percent say they keep their phones within arm’s reach at night.
  • 10 percent keep their phones under their pillow. (SWNS Digital

More money, more cheating … According to researchers at the University of California-Berkeley, rich people are more likely to cheat than those who aren’t rich. Studies showed that being wealthy makes people feel like they’re above the law, and that attitude leads to rich people treating others "like they don’t exist." The research also showed that the rich cheat more on their taxes, cheat more on their romantic partners -- and even cheat more at games of chance. (The Columbian

Forget root beer floats -- now you can have red wine floats. Yep, wine milkshakes exist. You start with dark chocolate raspberry ice cream, then add red wine, seltzer and top with chocolate syrup. Yum. (Delish
