Randoms-Trending Masks look like your Face, No more L Word, Amazon Forever

TODAY IS:

  • Second Half of the Year Day: July 1st is the 182nd day of the year – which means half of 2020 is over. The first half of 2020 has been awful. What do you hope for in the second half of the year?
  • Joke Day
  • Postal Worker Day
  • Canada Day
  • International Reggae Day

TODAY’S TOPICS:

This seems like a no-brainer …but a recent Recode/SurveyMonkey poll found that 31% of Americans say they’re using Amazon more now than they were before the start of the coronavirus pandemic. 46% say they’re using it about the same as before and 18% say they are using it less than before.

So face mask chains are trending …You know those eyeglass chains people hang around their neck so they don’t lose their glasses when they take them off? Well, people are using those chains to attach to their masks, and some companies are even marketing them specifically as mask chains. They’re actually a pretty great idea … no more forgetting your mask at home or in the car -- and because you’ll always have the mask hanging there, you can put it on and off quickly and easily. (Pure Wow)

Speaking of masks …You can now get a mask … of your own face. Designer Danielle Baskin has created Maskalike, a company that prints images onto face masks. You can get the bottom half of your face – oranyface you want. “Whether it’s a replication of your own face or your favorite meme, we care about the details. Our masks are sure to make people around you do double-takes and have a brighter day,” Danielle says. (My Modern Met)

No more casual dropping of the L word …According to a match.com Singles in America survey, only 27% of Millennials and Gen Zers say they have said “I love you” spontaneously the first time. Nope, they aren’t just blurting it out in the heat of the moment. They plan the moment and take those three little words more seriously than other generations.
